The February 6 LSAC meeting will feature Tim Sikorski, a Navy pilot flying the ONLY U.S. Navy land based fixed wing attack squadron, with Bronco OV-10A aircraft making up VAL-4.

VAL-4 known as (Black Ponie's) [think....Bronco's]  was stood up in April, 1969 and flew through March of 1972, supporting the U. S. Navy Riverine program.

Initially, VAL-4 was based at Binh Thuy as Detachment A and at Vung Tau, known as Detachment B.  In July 70, Detachment B was moved to Bin Thuy and all OV-10A operations from July, 1970 through March, 1972 was from Binh Thuy.
VAL-4 flew over 21,000 combat missions, on over 42,000 flight hours of operations.
